SFSU Koinonia

Koinoina has come up a few times in my posts so here’s a little info on it.  It’s a greek word for fellowship, and it is a Christian student organization that I am a part of.   We’re a christian fellowship at SF State University.  I had the privilege to serve as President for 4 years too (Hillary has nothing on me)! Currently, I’m volunteering as a staff member for Koinonia because yes, I, Eileen Ahn, finally graduated after a long long time in college.  Some tips.. pick a major early and don’t abandon it your fourth year!

Anyway, so if you attend San Francisco State University and are maybe interested in learning about Christianity, the Bible, or maybe you’re just looking for some good people to hang out with it, check us out!  We’re a group of about 45 every week now.  So we’re not too big and not too small… we’ll welcome you when you come and we’ll remember your  name the next time we see you :)   But yeah, looking for good fun, good food, and to learn about God.. come check us out!!  One thing you will notice though, our group is mainly made up of Asian people.. but you know what? Don’t let that stop you because we want to build our diversity and we welcome anybody of from all walks of life and yes, even religions.  We hold a major event at the break of the school year called New Student Welcome Night and this past year, we had more than 500 students join us!  Other than that, we hold our weekly meetings mainly on Friday nights at Rosa Parks A-C and have various group meetings, outings, dinners, etc.

Maybe you’re at this page but you don’t attend SFSU but attend UC Berkeley, CSU East Bay (CSUEB), UC Davis, UT Austin, University of San Francisco (USF) or  live ALLLLL the way in Hsinchu, Taiwan… you can find a Koinoina there too! www.koinonia.net will take you there!

SFSU Koinonia has an awesome website with great resources for any student!  You’ll find out photos/vids, vlogs, past events and resources on what are some good books out there and how you can learn more about God through reading the Bible.  Go there now!!
